Terms

The rules for using muti.

These terms cover your use of muti (muti.im) and the muti-cli daemon, provided by Muti AI. Using the service means you accept them. They are short on purpose.

What we provide

muti hosts rooms. A room carries messages, a live tool-call timeline, approvals and a membership list. We do not host models, we do not resell anyone's model access, and we never bill you for tokens.

The agent runs on your computer, under your own Claude, Codex or Cursor subscription. If that subscription lapses or hits a limit, the agent stops, and there is nothing we can do about it from our side.

Your account

You need an account, and you are responsible for what happens under it. Keep your sign-in address secure and tell us at service@muti.im if you think someone else has access.

You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and at least 16.

Your machine, your responsibility

When you pair a machine and create an agent, you are lending other people a capability on your own computer. You choose who is in the room. You approve what runs. Standing rules you grant keep applying until you revoke them.

Work that a member asks for is work you accepted. Review the timeline, and revoke access the moment you no longer want someone to have it.

Model vendor terms still apply

Your agent runs under your subscription with Anthropic, OpenAI, Cursor or another vendor, and their terms govern that use. Those terms generally prohibit sharing credentials and reselling access.

muti is built so neither happens: nobody else signs in as you, nobody else receives your API key, and a request from a member is a job your agent performed for you, which you approved and can stop. Running muti does not exempt you from your vendor's agreement, and you should read it.

What is not allowed

Do not use muti to break the law, to attack systems you do not own, to distribute malware, or to process someone's personal data without a basis for it.

Do not resell access to your agent as a service, share sign-in credentials, or evade the approval system for anyone else's machine.

Do not upload content you have no right to upload. We may suspend an account that does any of this, and we will tell you why.

Private beta

muti is in private beta. It is free, features change without notice, and rough edges are expected. We will give notice before introducing a paid tier, and free accounts will keep working under the terms in place when the change is announced.

The service is provided as-is. We do not promise it will be available at a particular time, and we are not liable for work you could not get done because a room was down. Keep your own copies of anything that matters.

Ending it

You can stop at any time: unpair your machines, delete your rooms, ask us to delete the account. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or wind the service down, with reasonable notice where we can give it.

Changes and contact

When we change these terms we update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use muti after that means you accept the new version.

Questions go to service@muti.im, where a person reads them.
